i dont think theres any reason you can't use a 1.6TD boost pin.... simply use the 1.6 pin and spring (it will seat in an OK spot) and then use the rotation adjustment on the 1.6 pin to tune your fuelling, as the 1.6pin is eccentrically ground.... thats what i do ;-)

would that be the 1.6gtd or could i use a 1.6td pin out of a passat etc...

So as i'm running the rubbish pump can i just up the boost by adjusting the wastegate? Making the rod shorter gives more boost i take it?

it is worth swapping to the 1.6 pin  :wink:

and to up the boost the nuts need to be closer to the end of the threaded rod thing!  :lol:

As if the nut on the end is close to coming off the end of the rod?

Wow, I just found this thread and must say that I've never seen an AAZ with so much junk on it. Both mine were in Mk 3s and had no emission junk whatsoever. Here's the one in my Caddy.

And his is actually pretty clean.. my bro's Eco Passat has all the EGR stuff + extra solenoids on the pump + the microswitch on the throttle + the defeat solenoid attached to the turbo +....  :roll:

Don't they use salt on the roads in Nova Scotia ? That is one clean car !!!

This is the saddest pic I've ever taken. I got caught in a surprise snow storm while driving 4 hours away to put the truck in storage the first year I owned her. This will NOT happen again !
