no, i dont have to love them. im pretty pissed i dont fit in them.
if i would fit in one, i would have one, no questions asked.
buuuuuuut....
im 6'7" and VW pickups just dont fit people like me in them very well.
i dont even fit in 4 door rabbits that well, but some how i fit just fine in my 4 door Mk2 Jetta..
trust me, if i were short enough, i would get a caddy.. my grandpa has one as nice as yours.
im still trying to talk him into a turbo, but he says that it goes fast enough for him.

Couple updates:

Built a new front bumper for some added airflow. Painted the intercooler so ricers stop revving on me all the time.

Oh and this is next  :D

1.6TD head, turbo and pump. One year old rebuild on it all. Traded a 16v GTX for it. I'd say i went in the right direction.

I always thought someone should stretch a pickup long enough to use the doors off a 2 door jetta/rabbit.................   Maybe you'll be the first?? Don't know why VW didn't do it!

Looks great, sits just right.  What suspension setup are you running?  Is it a daily?

Winston, what you doing with the air flow thingy that goes above the battery and directs the air to the I/C?

I also know of at least 2 people with MK2 G60's that would rip your arm off for it!   ;D
Let me know if you're gonna flog it  ;)
