Anybody know where I can get a remote oil filter housing or a housing off a north south engine? I'm trying to gather everything up for my samurai conversion and the sideways mounted one I have now hits the new motor mount. thanks!

From Purolators site- Off a 95 Passat AAZ
L30257
UNF-2B thread pitch
3/4-16 threads
So 3/4-16 it looks like.
And yes, if you have room for the hoses that shoot straight out. I believe there is also a kit that shoots the hoses out sideways.

I think I have the oil filter mount of a N-S 1.6TD out of a Quantum - I think that's what the Sammy swap uses - will it fit your AAZ? I dunno. PM me and I'll look for it tomorrow.

i think the other option is to use a filter flange from a VW fox. They've got a special angle on them that does the trick. (apparently)

This is a stock oilfiltermount to a Audi 1.6TD with oil cooler connections and built-in thermostat (100C) 200F.

Yes sir.
It's completely impossible to make it fit behind the radiator especially with the bigger Mann 940/25 filter.
