I noticed that you can purchase quite a variety of different degree thermostats for the 1.6L (stoves) anyone know what would be too cold or too hot ? + Why ?
Most of the time I get sooo far ahead of myself that I have to stop and let myself catch up......

I tried a 195F (90.5C) a few years ago but it ran closer to the red than I like so I put the 180F (82C) back in and the gauge now runs in the middle.
'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.
