• When idling, the injection occurs a few degrees before TDC, right?
  
  And when under load, does it get retarded or advanced further?  By how much?

• it advances itself, the hydrolic timing piston moves the roller assembly as the pump builds pressure,advancing the timing.how much,i dont know.
