My friend just refreshed his engine with a head job and a set of injectors from VW Diesel Parts. He called me up last night because he had been screwing with his timing for two hours and could not get the car running right and was looking for suggestions. He had the timing set to 1mm and everything else by the book but the car would just run like crap and stall. From experience I know that if you accidently put 155 bar injectors on an NA with stock pump tuning it will idle like crap so I suggested he check his "new injectors" to make sure they were 130 bar. They are stamped 115 bar! I have never even heard of that spec before. Anyone else? I can't even imagine what they would be for. Needless to say he is planning on swapping them out before wasting any more time.
