will the cam shaft fit an AAZ?

the only way i can fit the superchrger in is if i run the belt off the back end of the cam shaft, is this possible?

it really helps that the injection pump is on the other side away from the accessory belt    unfortunately i've never seen a setup like that for an IDI diesel except the 5 cylinder IDI/TDI's... now as for them fitting your beast, not entirely sure, but it would be one hell of a torque monster

i think your best bet would be to get an AAZ, and eliminate the a/c & ps pumps, and then manufacture your own bracketry.  the injection pump would probably be the biggest obstacle to overcome, but i could see it work.

i can't see it working with the supercharger at the back on your setup  :( the turbo would get in the way, and if you lowered the super, there wouldn't be enough tension from the belt on the crank, so it would be prone to slipping, unless you moved the alternator really high or installed another tensioning system.

scroll down to my post and click those video's... and be amazed at how much a supercharger is instantly destroyed by the awesomeness that is.. VNT!

if you can find a VNT-20, it should be robust enough for your application.  i've only heard of VNT-20's destroying engines/rods, and not the other way around (because it is designed for a bigger application) just be sure that the oil drains properly and you're set.  oh and big exhaust is a given

That engine never made it to the UK - only mainland Europe. Its completely different to the AAZ, so no way the cam would fit.

i cant find a place to mount my charger, the only free space is at the back behind the turbo, i dont mind jacking my bonnet up and cutting into the drip tray part. do you think this will work?

:D Ye Gods, that is one bizarre creation! I used to have a petrol Polo, utterly unkillable. I recognised the engine. But the double ended camshaft with two camwheels, and a G-Lader, and injection pump! Impressive. Even a 1970's Citroen or Renault engineer would think that strange!

I may sound like a traitor, but I want one of those old, low-cc Mk1 Polo engines they got more than I'd want a supercharged diesel.
