1.9 metal HG on 1.6

I got my 1.9 HG today and im confused,its not all metal :? The only metal is around the cylinders.This isnt correct is it?I bought it from pete R at vwdiesel.com
Cummins 4bta- 85 dodge prospector short bed
28 mpg!!and i can pull down a house!
1.6td in toyota pickup
10mm head ,t3 intercooled.

There are two styles of 1.9 HG...  old school (fibre with metal reinforcing) and new hotness (all metal).

You sound like you got the old school one.

So no improvements over 1.6 then?if not then were do i get a decent hg?
