Differences in k14 characteristics: 1.6 and 1.9

I recently noticed a post where Libby pointed out that there are 2 different sized compressor wheels / housings that came on k14's..
Does anybody happen to have any specs on the different k14's?
I have one with a big compressor wheel and one with a smaller one and I'm trying to decide what one to use on my motor with hopped up giles pump..
I'm looking for a practical explanation because I really don't have a great understaning of A/R #'s and trim and the like.
Does anybody have any idea how much boost can be made with each one and at what initial rpm? I had no idea there were even 2 types..
Thanks for any insight you guys might have on this..

There is LOTS of different K14s. Even Merc 3,0 24v om606 have K14 as stock.

I'm specifically interested in the difference between the Canadian 1.9 k14 and the Canadian 1.6 ones..
Would part #'s help?
I can tell you that the 1.9 k14 begins with 028 and the 1.6 one begins with 068

1.6 never came with a k14 in canada, the GTD's in europe had them though, not sure about the specs, they had watercooled centers as well.

Ok, that's good info.. I actually have a water cooled k14 here, it's a small cold side btw prefix 068..
So, I know the one that I have that is bigger is from a 1.9 AAZ because it has an 028 prefex, can anyone comment on the characteristics of that turbo vs the one with the small cold side?
The cold side looks to be closer to that of a k24.. does this mean that it will spool just as fast but with more boost?
What do you guys think of the stock 1.9 IDI k14's?

The k14 on the 1.9 is great for stock or perfect for moderately tuned engines with intercooler and running 17-18 psi max in my opinion.

Hmm, so is a k24 a better choice? Doesn't drivability suffer?

I had my big compressor wheel k14 apart for some wastegate work last night and noticed a "6" printed in the hot inlet of it. All my other k14's have "3" printed on the hot inlet, they are also all small compressor k14's
I remember seeing some info on this somewhere but even after a search I'm coming up dry.
What is the significance of the number printed on the hot inlet of the 3k turbos?

It's been a while, but I seem to remember my 1.9's k-14 making 8 psi at 2k rpm with fairly stock fueling. I think it's max was 20 psi(when the tee I was using melted so it got no boost to the wastegate) Probably over revved at that point.

Thanks Jim, that's about what the map suggests, though I have no idea how many cfm a 1.6 can flow at any rpm.
Any insight on the number cast into the inlet?
