 having lots of trouble breaking belts.
would like to know where i can buy brand new pulley for the alternator.
1.6l diesel, AC , Power steering , deluxe model
i've already checked the alignment, new tensioner, ac pulley is new looking (and its a machined piece not stamped) and the alternator is new.

it's listed under an audi part # last i checked... i'll look it up and get back to you, it's machined, not stamped.

as far as I know from the pictures none of those is right, Those look like gas alt pulleys. The one you want is machined, and has part # 035903119
It's an audi number.and they were 50 bucks or more last time I bought them from the dealer..
If you want a pic I'd be glad to snap one..

The site says that the photo is not vehicle specific. Also says it fits 1.6L as well but who honestly knows..... I guess for the price it would be worth a call.
Hope it helps!

I know the one on the gasser looks different than the one on the diesel
I'll check this closer tomorrow
