Does anyone have the gear ratios for these? I'mm trying to decide which would be a better fuel economy choice for an ALH tdi conversion to Tdi-M.
02a/j on 2001 ALH tdi
020 on 1998 ABA

This should give you enough information to ponder about.

Just ID your transmission and the year and you should find the different ratios you desire.

Edit::::  Maybe not as these are mostly older transmissions and I just noticed you are more MODERN.

Do you know the rest of the code?
There are many different codes for the 020.
An ABA might have an ACN with maybe a 3.67 ring and pinion that is good for the highway.
Some 02As are better than the 02Js, when it comes to lower RPM on the highway.
Tornado red, '91 Golf 4 door,
with a re-ringed, '84 quantum, turbo diesel, MD block
