Almost done swapping in my 1.9/AAZ
« on: February 15, 2016, 10:37:26 am »
Hi!
New member here, but I've been poking about here and there as I needed specs or info.

I'm almost done with the swap:
Pulled the 1985-ish 1.6TD with a blown head gasket, worn out rings, generally beat up
installing a 1995-ish 1.9TD that I got from an engines depot outside of montreal (possibly from Japan, possibly not)

Already has a TDI crank pulley, woo!
condition of the engine isn't well known, but I'm curious if it came out of someone else's car from one of these forums... will probably never know.

Anyways, just wanted so say hi!
I'm in the Boston, Mass area, vehicle is a 1986 Samurai *ducks*

If you dont mind me asking.....what did you pay for this AAZ? I need one and I see prices around $2K. K24 turbo, low miles (at least that's whats advertised)
Good luck with the swap. I'm going to be putting one in my caddy.
