• that'll only fit a TDI or SDI 1.9 with the 3 bolt mounting pattern (like the B4 Passat TDI or the 98-99 1z TDI)

• i could see it fit.  but you will need to cut & modify certain things... probably end up butchering it a little...  anything is possible with time & money  :wink:

• I hate those covers... The one that came on my 2003 didn't last the year along with the belly pan.

• Do replace the lower cover though... it keeps water out of the turbo's VNT actuator. At least up here, moisture sitting in there will rust it out.

• I just rolled past 208,000 miles yesterday, you might be right about significantly reducing the lifespan of my engine.
  
  Actually I live in Florida, I think in the almost 5 years I have had my 2003 it got cold enough for the glow plugs to come on once.
  
  Warm up time is very short without the covers in these parts.
