Drain/replace/flush your water seperater. The one by the rear axle. I pulled one today that had 400k kms on it and you wouldn't beleive the crap that came out, so I took pictures. No wonder you get air in the lines :shock:

It's actually probably best to just delete it. Only mk2s have it, none of the later diesels do
man i went to drain 3 all together in all my diesel and non would ever seal again lol
I'm not sure how they seal as I only have a VW engine, but from working in water treatment, if they have o-rings, you need to remove them and clean them and the grooves they fit in. when water filters leak, it is always dirt/crud under the o-ring.

i second that... whenever i work with o-ring's and am re-using them, i always clean them thoroughly. as well as the mating surfaces. but i doubt it would leak that bad though.. we're only talking about 5 psi or so right???
