I just bought a 87 TD jetta coupe and I'm parting out the engine. The guy didn't know a whole lot about diesels and it ran away on him and he just let it go. :( It still turns over though. There is oil in the coolant reservoir and coolant in the oil. The head gasket looks like it exploded. The car has 260k kms on it. I did see this car driving around town so I know that it did work. He did mention that he did have problems starting it in the winter. The IP doesn't appear to be leaking. It has a KKK turbo. I'm open to offers on everything. I will be removing the head and checking to see if it survived, although I have my doubts. The t-belt is still intact

As for the shell, I'm putting a 1.9TD into it and selling it most likely but haven't fully decided

Do you have the oil feed line for the turbo????
and do you know if it would work on a 1.9TD with a T3???

Yes this is a 100% complete car so I do have both lines. I don't know if it would fit or not. I have a K14 from a mk3 upstairs. I could see if it has the same threads, although I'd imagine T3 and K14 would be different?

I'd be interested in the grille.

I have an 85 TD jetta that has a big ole hole in the grille.

I also need a washer fluid pump...

If You decide not to put a 1.9L engine in it, I'd be interested in external bits. Anything useful to convert a gasser A2 to TDI-M.

Damn I could have used so many parts off of that car, but I bought most of them already.  :-(
