Buddies Beamer with Hydro-lifters sat in his grandpas garage for a year. We went over to fire it up, and had to crank on it for quite some time before it started. And it didn't run too hot at first either. So I'm guessing that they will oil up, but depending on the engine and the oil circuit, it might take some time. You could hear that the valve timing was off for the first minute or 2 of it running but it settled in. I then Sea-Foamed the thing, crank and tank, and it ran strong.. Until he head-on'd with a Durango doing 65mph. No more Beamer...
head on... and he lived???
Something major wrong with the engine. got fuel to it, had fuel at the injectors, glow plugs drawing power, no fire. Even resorted to a sniff of ether, no fire. I haven't pulled the valve cover to check, but I'm thinking there's a busted cam or something. Either that or a whole buch of bent valves and no compression. Maybe got parked when the belt broke and got replaced, wouldn't run??
Doesn't matter, just another collection of parts...........
Not really, but I'm always open to offers! This thing is really tough, and I'm a LOONNNGG way from oshawa! (an hour past London).

About 7 hours at the speed limit! (Used to live there, born at Nippising General!) Used to be able to walk out the back door and go skating on the lake (Sunset Point, about 2 doors from the park at the end) Still have a lot of relatives there
Very cool, I know where that is. I've lived here my whole life but I was born in Corbiel.
Nipissing General? Has that been renamed to North Bay General?
Could be. We moved to West Ferris when I was small, then Kirkland lake. Dad worked for the g'ment, shifted around a lot. Had a cousin in Corbiel for a while, and my grandma and her "shackee" as she used to introdice him lived in a log cabin with an old log dance hall on a property on Lake Nosbonsing. Still got aunts, uncles, and cousins in town.
