I was crusin in my dads b4 passat wagon AAZ and a former member(89vwgolfdiesel) on the forum pulls up beside me in his a2 golf 1.8.We managed to meet up at a couple of lights and we pulled through a couple of gears and both cars were dead even .On the quarter mile I think I would have got him.My dads car is running 19 psi with the T3,intercooled,no cat, pump mods but no gov mod.if the governor was modded I could have left the golf in the dust also the heavy passat flywheel isn't too sporty for those who know .So if his stock golf makes 100-105 bhp then the passat must be making 115-120bhp in order to keep up with the little golf. Not a great kill but all the same definitely a great show put down by the waggon .I bet Jeff was wishing he'd have kept the diesel he sold
.
way to show a traitor, Andy! hehehe
haha, two runs and i was impressed with the wagon.
intake, exhaust, adjusted fuel management and i just cleaned the intake with seafoam that night and ya it was VERY close. Going through the twistys was another story though, eh Andy?
Just wait until summer when i P&P the head and re-do the exhaust
The passat's waste gate sounded sweet though....
Can't wait until i see your golf on the road, 190HP diesel... thats skill
Jeff
That sketchy one way #2 hwy was definitely not ideal but worked. And I thought yours was stock
nope
ive go also got some shifter mods done too. My snow tires are as hard as hockey pucks though so it kinda threw everything out the window
That was the most fun I've had yet with a diesel despite my soon to be monster golf
