i had a ***ty fuel system before i got mine done by giles and i think it was a combination of an injector leaking down into the cylinder and the pump leaking.

my 86 Jetta TD also has the silver Metallic paint option. The PO was nice enough to keep the window sticker. He had all the work done at the place I bought the car from. Its funny to see that the car I have now went for close to 13K USD when new.
Im going to steal your horn button.
Did all the Silver Met. Optioned cars come with Blue interior? I need some Helios Recaros.

You suck. JUST KIDDING!

I want a 2 door TD Rabbit so bad. Great score!
That Rabbit has alot of potential. Keep us updated on it. There were only around 400 84 factory TD Rabbits made.
I have a 83 factory TD Rabbit GL model 4 door. There were only 80 produced in 83. Very rare cars.
Have fun with it.

I am glad i saved it. the engine got pulled out an shoved into a callapsed out a2 jetta. no big deal im just going to dump my good engine into the rabbit and build up reliable na 1.6 with a ported and polished head for my jetta. The rabbit is going to recieve a bilstein/neuspeed race suspension and im kind of thinking about putting 13 inch wheels with the factory 6 or 7 inch? hub caps. SLEEEEEEPER!it will probably be done by spring and ripping around my stompin grounds. maybe head out to toronto for some auto xs and have a bunch of fun with the car.

what a bunch of idiots, take the motor out of the good car and put it in the bad one, i don't see the reasoning at all either that rabbit is in nice shape, even if i had a super clean mk2 diesel jetta what needed a motor i would still let it in the rabbit, but like you have said it's not much of a biggie. and you know where the original motor is at if you ever wanna go that route haha, just wait till they blow it up. but i suppose stuff is different in canada since td's are easier to find...
