just have to give a thumbs up to Rat407
I just worked out an order with him and could not be more pleased with the responsiveness and service. Plus, for AMSOIL he beat my local distributor with shipping to my door! Great prices for a great product from a fellow VDUB owner.
Rat407 is an A plus seller
*update
Got my first order from Rat407 and could not be happier with the shipment. Shipped out as soon as he received my money on a thursday and it showed up at my door on monday!

Just curious. I just had my 1.6 N/A diesel re-ringed and gasketed. How long do I need to run conventional oil before I use synthetic? Also will the synthetic make my engine leak if it is not leaking now with conventional oil?

AMSOIL Price Reduction Effective March 1
Due to recent price relief from its suppliers, AMSOIL is implementing a price decrease effective March 1. The price decrease will mainly affect lubricants. The price of some will go down between 15 cents and 30 cents per quart, representing a 60 cent to $1.20 decrease per gallon, while others will be impacted less. Adjustments will also be made in the price differential between package sizes in order to implement more consistency. See the February Action News for more details. "
Just wanted to let everyone know that AMSOIL is going to reduce their price on March 1st. 2009
If you have any questions it is best to PM me.
Thanks

the answer is probably very subjective... i would say run conventional until the car does not burn a drop, and you are certain the rings are seated. this could take anywhere from 5,000 to 15,000km's.

Joined the forum in part to find a Amsoil dealer, TDI fan and Rat407 did not disappoint. Timely communications, updates before and after shipping, and tracking number. Not a single prob. Kudos, and thanks!
