Can someone tell me if the hub and sprocket from my 10mm alh pump will fit this 0460404065 pump I just purchased?
This pump was suppose to be from and early LR200 but I am having my doubts looking up the number online.
Thank you
Josh
Hopefully it will or I just bought a $600 paper weight
Post some pictures of the pump. The pump number says it's a 10mm pump and I thought all of the 200/300 TDI pumps were 11mm. All the pictures I found online of that part number show a CCW rotating pump which would not be useful on a VW.
I'll try to get some pictures uploaded tonight
Thank you
That is an interesting pump, is that from the GM rangerover engine?
I thought he perhaps determined the seller of the pump accidentally gave him some sort of Toyota Land Cruiser pump, when he was actually ordering a salvaged Land ROVER pump.
The 200TDI was an older Landy engine that came in Defenders and probably Range Rovers as well as early Discovery models.
The 300TDI was a completely different engine but still used a very similar injection pump. The engine itself was much more reliable and robust, and built by MWM International aka Navistar International in Brazil, same company who built both a 2-valve 2.8L version of the Land Rover 300TDI engine and supplied it to Land Rover in small quantities (direct swap for a 2.5L 300TDI, uses many of same parts even), as well as it being sold as the Ford "F150" Powerstroke 2.8, and even installed in South American GM trucks and Blazers. Not to be confused with the MWM Sprint 2.8L 3-valve per cylinder engine which also uses a similar Bosch VE injection pump. That 3-valve per cylinder version is also rebranded as a VW LT2.8 "factory mTDI" engine in Europe in the late 1990's/early 2000's for use in the VW LT commercial vans (like a Sprinter van). Those are also AWESOME mTDI swap pumps if you can find one. 12mm pump head, so lots of fuel but lower RPM, 12mm is not good for those who aspire for high rpm horsepower above 4500-5500rpm.
