Does anyone know if the plastic nipple is available for the vacuum pumps? i have two good pumps with broken nipples. Thanks
Those of us that have those types of pumps have drilled out the old ones and tapped the hole to accept a standard hose barb. It is much nicer to have metal to metal than that weak plastic. Easy to do if you have the equipment, if not since you have two it might be a bonus from a shop to get them done at the same time. The price would be cheap I would expect.
Andrew has a great fix for this.
A brass check valve and a barbed fitting.
From Mcmaster Carr I think.
Here's the page for the check valve:
https://www.mcmaster.com/7775K21I don't see the 7775K21.
Probably could be replaced by the 7775K51,.. along with a MPT barbed fitting.
