ARP Head Stud Kit, which one?

I would like to know what ARP Stud kit folks have installed on their 1.6 NA engines, the one with the 11 mm bolts. I put a turbo on mine in July and I should have installed them then but did not. Now it pushes air into the coolant system if I really get a heavy foot with it. Running 2 to 5 lbs boost does not pump air in, at least not yet.
In the meantime I am going to retorque the head to spec and see if that gives me time to buy the proper means to tighten a head with a turbo attached.

I know the 11mm headstuds are the same as the early watercooled straight 4 VW engines.
Since they are reusable I could get them on the vortex for fairly cheap.

I have a pile of those type but I am looking to upgrade to the ARP ones that stay in the block and you remove the nuts on top to remove the head. Much better for keeping the head tight to the block under turbo time.

Since it's been asked several times lately...
11mm headbolts, for the early 1.6 engines and the 1.5 diesels, are replaced with studs from ARP with the part # 204-4701.
Did some digging. Hope this helps.... this is from Turbinepowered in 2009

Cost was not so high, about 150 for the set.
Why I didn't remember these folks that are nearly in my own backyard I will never know. Old Fart Syndrome.
Should be here with the next rain storm in a week. So good to be able to swap a few at a time. Might be all I can get done between the wet and wind.

Ordered kit at about 10 AM yesterday, arrived today USPS about 3 PM. Nice to be local I guess.
Looking at specs in the Bentley OEM studs were to go to 66 ft lbs, the install instructions say take them up a bit to 80. That hopefully will stop the pressure to the coolant system unless the gasket is blown as well. But at least now I can slip the head on and off all I want and not have to deal with the 11mm hex head bolts ever again.

Installed an ARP # 204-4701 set bout 10 years ago (yikes!) in the 11mm block. Retorqued every few years starting at 95 ft/lb and now at 105 ft/lbs. Probably getting time to retorque again but might swap motors instead if the next strut tower inspection looks okay; if not might have a spare tower welded in while the engine is out or admit defeat and part it out (the wifes' preferred alternative).

Just checked the longer term weather, may get out Sunday in the SUN and swap these over. Hope it makes the difference.
And yeah the wife's alternative for my VW's is that I do more walking. She is sooo funny.
If I pace around the kitchen table it drives her crazy. I can imagine what it would be like not to have two VW's to care for.

Got the ARP studs in today but broke an allen wrench in the process. Install instructions say 80 lbs of torque, Bentley says 90 for head bolts. I see in the replies others running higher so I may just see what happens at 80 and tighten if need be.
Tested for boost leaks with a rubber glove on the coolant reservoir and it didn't inflate. So maybe I got lucky? Forgot to check oil for coolant but no oil in the water.

Sounds like your on the mark then. Anyways, you might have plenty of room to adjust but hopefully won't need to.

I think I used 80 ft/lbs.
I wouldn't go much higher with 11mm stuff.

Took the truck out on the town today for work and errands. Seems to go a bit better than before. Just a few lbs more boost coming up the steeper hills in town. No pressure in the coolant lines. Less black smoke on the hard pulls. Smoother, less clack than last week.
I think I got an upgrade all for the addition of parts I should have purchased when I did the conversion back in July.
Slow on that uptake but found it finally.
