FS: 1980 Scirocco S PICS ADDED

I've just acquired a 1980 Scirocco S. It's in need of some bodywork, but doesn't have the typical nasty areas like the A pillars rusting out. To be a decent looking street car, it would need a complete strip and repaint. There are a couple holes just ahead of the rear wheel wells in the rockers. No instrument cluster, headlights/grille or engine/transmission.
It's a good foundation for a project car.
I got it to save her from the crusher, and have $250 into it for the tow. If I can get that back, it's good enough for me.
If anyone's seriously interested, I'll get some pics up.
If not, I've got pretty well everything lying around needed to make a wild turbo gas tow-to-track racecar. hm. which I could sell with the car, if interested. Would be cool to see it with a hot diesel engine though.
K, this is dragging on.
Located near hamilton ontario.

it looks scarier than it really is. lotsa surface rust, and 3 holes. Very good project car!

how hard would it be to bring this to the US? Title wise, etc? I've been looking for an early rocco for the next sick MK1 setup and such. Might not go diesel....but it could be something very interesting and I've always wanted a good base for a good price to start from.... anyone? info on how hard it would be to bring it here, etc?

i've never personally moved a vehicle cross boarder. BlacktieTD has though. Ask him.
Gas to diesel swap in a rocco is the same as a rabbit. Easy.
Pics soon, if Blacktie doesn't grab it this week.

doh, well, let me know as I got an IM from Fisher today with some very helpful info about getting the car through customs, legit, all that good stuff. I'm very interested in it and would love to see pictures of it. Looks like I might be out of the running for it though.
Sent you a PM as well Dr.

If you decide to part it I'd like the headlight bucket assemblies
Too big of a project for me right now though

still have it. Anyone want a lightweight, aerodynamic chassis to stab a hot TD into?
