• I've compiled a list of stuff I need (the engine's already coming). Most of it is little odds and ends. Does anyone have any of this stuff laying around and would be willing to part with it?
  
  -cold start cable
  -brake booster hose
  -ac hose compressor -----> evap.
  -throttle cable
  -alternator (preferrably 90 amp with w terminal)
  -fuel filter (or bracket)
  -water separator
  -airbox & hose
  -starter

  Just to clarify, I need not just the cold-start cable, but the whole enchalada with the handle and all.
  
  Also, when I mean water separator, I mean the one that's under the car near the pass. rear wheel. Did some of them come with it part of the fuel filter?

• I am begining to pull the TD motor from my parts car this holiday weekend.  I will post what other pieces I will have available 7/4 or 7/5.
  
  I know that I do not have a working alternator.
  I will have a Diesel fuel tank and water separator since my receiving car is a diesel.
  Both cars have AC (neither in currently working condition) but I have two sets of parts and could part with the ones off of the parts car.

• re: airbox and cold start cable. i was at the shop yesterday and i found the bin with that stuff... i will pull it out and take a better look on wednesday night.
  
  i used the only mkII-style starter that i had yesterday.

• I might have a new sytle fuel filter holder. I switched all of my cars to the old screw on type. The filters are 1/3 the price and much easier to replace.
  
  I'll look and get back to you.
  
  But if I were you i'd go to the junk yard and pull one of the old style screw on filter barackets out of a rabbit or a1 jetta. Or even one out of a truck would work.
