You want to upgrade to a 1.9td metal headgasket and you gotta buy soem new stretch bolts. While you are there doa full coolant flush, oil and filter change, tbelt and tensioner, replace your valve cover gasket with a rubber one, and put a windage pan in place of your crappy oil pan gasket, or at least upgrade toa rubber one. Also if you need glowplugs its super quick while the head is off as is removing the injectors if they need to be rebuilt. Replace the 2 rubber o rings for the 2 coolant flanges on the head as well. Soem of thats overkill but thats what I like to get done while I am in there.

Well i have to drive the car because i have been waiting people to send me parts so i can.I have already chaged all 4 glows, oil and filter,i have a timing belt siting in my room.I need to get a timing belt tensioner,as for the oid pan gasket i have been told that the 2L ABA uses a type of windage tray.As for the injectors that will have to wait till i get more money. As for the head gasket where should i get it form? Also how much of a price differnts is their between head bolts and studs?Kinda sucks that the oil is new but it might have some coolnet in it.Thanks for anyhelp.

Yeah you gotta drain the oil and coolant, its mandatory, studs are nice but about 10 times the cost. You can get everything you need from

you don't have to drain the oil to do a headgasket, but if it has coolant in it you'd better change it.

I will drain it just to be safe.As for passengerperformance are they not in Canada?I would like find some place here in the US to get parts form.No offcen to passengerperformance i just have been hearing bad things about trying to get things form Canada becaues of costums. As for the head gasket it''s self what year and model do i need to order it for?Am i going to need any tools other then the normales ones to get the job done?Should i get a head gasket set and yes i know it does not come with the head gasket,or should i just leve the intake and exhaust manifolds on it?Would it be a good idea to use that copper spray on gasket sealer? Thanks for any and all help.

Id use water 1st...then I believe VW recomends a good Ethelene glycol. Dex Cool is Propoline glycol. If you mix them you get silicon dropout and it looks like someone put jelly in your system.

Moved to troubleshooting. Not power enhancement related.

Here is a link to where I have found almost any part needed. THe mail order is quick and customer service is great. THe only downside is the parts lookup isn't great. I have had to manipulate the car info to get the right part. If you know what you are looking for it is still easy. I have not tried calling in for assistance yet. One time I called for a missed shipment and I got the new parts 2 days later. Good people.
