This 1.6TD engine was originally out of a 83 quantum and I switched turbo exhaust housing and exhaust manifold and was running it in a 85 golf. I pulled the engine apart because it was using excessive amounts of oil and it had a miss when started cold. Turned out it had a bent valve, a torn valve stem seal, and the piston to cylinder wall clearance was out of spec.
I had another complete engine that i just swapped in the car and don't need this sitting around anymore. The turbo is in good shape with minimal shaft play. I don't know anything about the transmission other than it came out of a 86 jetta with a 1.6TD. I would like to sell everything together no shipping local pick-up only. I'm asking $400 for everything or make offer
