Swapping Ecodiesel IP to turbo diesel IP

I just picked up a turbo diesel pump 0 460 494 138 and plan on swapping out my Ecodiesel pump with governor mod running great. What difference will I see with the new TD pump? The delivery valves are shorter on the turbo pump and they are supposed to take different injector hard lines, which I do not have. I do have a few sets of Ecodiesel lines. Can they be bent to fit the TD pump? Anyone have a set of turbo lines?

You should be able to swap a set of the longer Eco deliveries onto the shorter-style pump.
However, you need to swap ALL of the parts contained in there. As you remove them, take care to keep the pieces sequentially laid out on clean cloth. There are two little spacers in the longer Eco valves which are not the same as the one larger one in the shorter deliveries. Additionally, the plunger (whatever it is) is a bit longer as well.
Just keep the pieces properly lined up and put them together on install. Also, make sure all is very clean....solvent or gasoline.
"Burn" can confirm this is correct....I would suspect.
I would NOT re-bend the lines to fit....only if I was outside Baghdad and needed to move quickly.

I don't want to change cam plates or delivery valves, just want to install the turbo pump and see how it runs.

Well, so much for trying to help the helpless.
There is a guy trying to sell some TD lines here today.

I got the longer valves from my ECO pump put on my TD pump when I upgraded mine, no problems.
The guys at the Bosch shop said it wasn't an issue at all.

Why not just lda top swap? Could do on car with four screws? No bleeding lines, no timing. Keeps cam plate

no there is still a bar in it that blocks the control collar from closing fully.

Why did VW use two types of delivery valves? Wouldn't you think there must be a difference other than the length?
Did you do the governor mod to your Eco pump before upgrading to the TD pump? What are the performance differences after the upgrade?

Swapping delivery valves definitely makes a difference. However, what difference it will make I do not know.
Since both engines are IDI and use the same injectors (or at least same style) I wouldn't suspect any problems. You'll likely alter the fuel delivery curve a bit.
I have a theory that they may be matched to the head/rotor, camplate and injectors but I don't know this for fact. I'm quite certain that they are matched to the injectors but again that's just theory.
If it was my car and I had spare lines, I'd bend them and keep a spare set and 17mm wrench in my car. You need to make sure that the lines are not under any tension after they are bent or they will break guaranteed. I ran bent lines on my car for quite a while without issues testing out the AAZ injectors on my 1.6, and 1.6 injectors on my AAZ.
