After complete and correct rebuild to spec, does the VE pump "break in" so that it's performance slightly improves as parts settle in and loosen up a bit???
i.e., does it get a little bit more efficient at delivering the fuel so as to effect economy?

assume rebuilt injectors as well.
My return-to-idle got better after a few miles of driving on a fresh reseal. Not a "break in", just a slightly sticky control collar inside the pump.
Injectors definitely take a bit to settle in. Not so sure about pumps.
