I know this is a diesel forum, but I trust the knowledge here way more than other places...
I'm trying to replace cis injector o-rings on a 1.8l 16V. My question is about the 'insulators', or whatever they're called. I'm told they are NLA anywhere, and that it really doesn't matter if they're cracked, as long as the o-rings are doing their job. I have one that's cracked badly, and when I pulled that injector, the injector 'bucket', or 'cap', or 'tip', or whatever it's called actually fell down in the head, and I had to pull the intake mani to fish it out. This all sounds like gibberish, but I'm hoping some of you might know what I'm talking about...?
Are you talking about the plastic injector seats in the head? If so I think there are a few different variety's of these, 3 in total. Normally these injector seats are removed using a hex wrench and unscrewed from the head. Time to go junkyard hunting if one is broken.....

Is this the deal?
Wow. Dakotakid ftw. I've been told by the parts guys I trust most that you can't find these things anywhere these days...
....reckon I better score some for my mule pretty soon. Nice price.
16v bushings should be brass not plastic... Then has cermaic piece forfor injector tip... If you cap off the vac port for the tips, its no issue...
