Usually nagging

and slowness.
I had one that would snag for a bit, then come down once you'd been in boost for a second or 10. super annoying, but it freed up eventually.

Id have liked that... But nope not it.... Headed south... Kubvan loaded... Wonder what sunday night of milf weekend like at ou... Fri looked kicking... But passed it up to get toaster going...
Reason on boost pin question... Borrowed rover pump with no mods had problem... Thinking flight in baggage a vac applied to boosy pin to make be stuck all way up...
My rover pump sprung leak... Then got broken to reseal... But i paid for edjumcation on how to rebuild pumps yesterday... So now master of pump knowledge... Learned from guy who gave tip on boost pin late last monday after i was fed up... And every person with knowledge i know told me no way... Dude was right... Why this post was made...
We also cracked open rover pump #1 from last batch, #4 was problem child we fixed, but courious on weird throttle linkage stuff is a timming afvance system, kinda like vnt turbo controls... But for timming in pump... If i beleive what guy says... He never seen stuff rover pumps got inside on a bosch pump...
I meed to crank it down from 130 back to 118... Too noisey for me, and cold too advance to start with no glowplugs... Had to jump glows to get to start this am... Sitting in shop w heat on thawing out...

Is that possible if both sides of the diaphragm are open? Side opposite the boost line is usually open to atmospheric and if the boost side is disconnected, is open too...?

Top boost port sealed, other open..... How far up in plane luggage to move diafhram?? Make pressure or vacum? But it was really really stuck... Just theory at this point... Need to see if 2 3 have stuck ones... And since no one in usa seems to wanna touch rover pumps... I can fix when the usa fuel makes leak...

"An empty bottle, closed during a commercial flight with a cabin altitude of around 8,000 ft, is crushed by the pressure at ground level after descent."http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cabin_pressurizationSeems airliner pressure is a bit lower than JFK. But, if the port were plugged with a stopper (as opposed to a bolt/washer), maybe the higher aneroid pressure leaked out during flight and during descent the fuselage pressure increased faster, or the stopper sealed tighter...?

Pretty sure Euro fuel is even more LSD than ours.

Nope, more like the old pre 93 usa ls fuel.....

why my rover pump sprung leak like it did..... I pulled to do head o ring and could see main shaft seal moist... Not seen pumps spring leaks like this since 94.... And went from dry to fuel fall almost over nigsweet info on bottle.... So may be why....
Guy who i learned my pump knowledge from kept calling boost pin a fuel cut off valve, cause to push high enough it stops fuel....
Im going to have to test this with hand vac pump... Be sweet wonay to make up no electric diesel... Vac pump, valve to turn off... Good for auto jeep builds for if stop failed so on

kind of like how the automatic pumps actually have a lever on just for stopping the engine.

See the thing is - when the boost pin has no boost on it, it is resting on the 'smoke screw' on the LDA cover. That's its hard stop. So I don't really see how it could move any higher up the bore? There's already a spring pushing it hard against its lid... I don't think vacuum would be able to move it any further?

I felt like mine was the follower gummed in it's bore, thus not tracking the movement of the boost pin, as much less force is exerted on it.

I am pretty sure in past experiences that the boost pin travels its full way up, to where the lip on the bottom of them would prevent it from going any further anyhow.
I will see if I have a picture to confirm this.

You can't see it here, but the normal boost pin wear line goes almost all the way down to the lip on the bottom of the boost pins. So you'd get another 1/16" out of them? maybe?

You wanna raise it-less fuel? Also I thought there was like an early and late pin and corresponding housing. We always wanna get more fuel ,haha, pull that white sleeve off .....oh adjusting the "smoke screw" should raise it's height when not under boost psi
