I've got a 1.6 TD. Looking for more power and better spool. I'm going to make my own T3 manifold with a divided flange. Aka twin scroll. The twin scroll with the proper turbo sizing should assist with turbo lag. also I will be using a quick spool flange. Of course pump modding and what not will be done. I just wanna find a small T3 twin scroll flanged turbo. Smallest on from is a giant Garrett gt32. Way to big without doing a 1.9 swap! Any ideas on a small t3 twin scroll turbo?
Might want to look into what the Subaru guys use they are all about split scroll for some reason. I think the smallest t3 split scroll is .78. Which if ur using a quick spool valve will probably be ok. I think ud be better off with a gt2056 or holder he221w tho rather than an old hard to find exhaust housing
I did some flow research and that would be better suited for a early 90's 1.9 TD build I found the garrett 2259 with an internal wastegate. Not to shabby. Should go well with some intake manifold massaging, and me welding up a manifold. So does my turbo have a t3 flange?
Nevermind I found out the the turbo flange for the TD is specific for the car.
