MK1/A1 GTD instal pics?

How do.
Still gathering parts for the 1.6TD into Caddy swap and trying to get my T3 done and painted!
Anyone got any pics of a 1.6TD installed in a A1/MKI Golf?
Just trying to get my head around the intercooler and pipework needed.
The Caddy is my daily and need it back on the road really quick once it comes off the road.
I've sourced the engine, gearbox and clutch.
Got MKI GTi oil filter head with thermostat for oil cooler but think im going to run out of room for the standard cooler, so may relocate oil cooler elswehere.
Got one of Passenger Performances downpipes.
I've read that the wrong choice of intercooler could be a big waste of time and money. Maths ain't my strong point  and looking at all the sums to work out the correct size is way above me! Anyone got any suggestions to what works?
Also, anyone know of a EGT gauge in degrees C rather than "old money" farenheit?
Any help greatly recieved.
Simon.

Was at local breakers yesterday, getting bits from a chilled TD lump in a Pissrat.
The chiller and pipework was all there if you are interested?
I've got a GTD i'm putting in a caddy and am going to put the standard chiller in front of the rad as it's conventional place on top of engine seems stupid.
Plenty of digital thermometers out there that will measure in C - you just have to think beyond the 'EGT' envelope. EGT gauges cost stupid£, I'm gonna use a thermocouple from an oven...

have a look at my thread here:
http://www.vwdiesel.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=14500&highlight=#14500feel free to ask me any questions
I used the standard water to oil cooler which came on the engine and it seems to be fine
as for an EGT guage I am using one which I think is origionally for a light aircraft it only cost £50 including the sender which was far cheaper than any one for cars, it is in centigrade and is very nice and fast acting
just have a google for them

It's not too far away from Dunkeswell airfield, just ask anyone for Blackborough house in Blackborough.
Last visit furnished us with 1 RS2 porsche cup wheel (7.5 x 17) in Audi stud pattern. Also saw some pot testers laying around, although on return visit they had gone.
Theres an Audi 80 with a 1.6TD in there recently, I also raped a MKI Golf of it's revcounter dash for a tenner.
Ace place!

How's the install going?
How did you get around the cambelt cover problem?
Any problems you have encountered that may save me some time?
Oh and were you selling linkage rebuild kits?

Not even started yet!
Cambelt cover prob?
It will be the summer before I get to it, at least, just want everything there ready so it's not off the road for months like my T3 has been!

Straight through the MOT today, got a "Youth" coming to the garage to help out on monday, once he's done the mail order then he's on with stripping the GTD lump, it's been sat there months!
