Can the ac bracket that bolts to the engine be removed without removing the injection pump and bracket? Its a mk1 1.6l btw
I just went thru this on my 1.6na. and sadly I could not do it. If you have the motor out of the car then you should be able to get upper left one but the upper right is hidden behind the pump.
You might be able to do it with 1/4 extensions and a uni joint socket. but what he said.
Can sometimes be done with an "S" wrench. Not easy if the bracket has been on for a decade.
Gotcha hopefully i will be that lucky. time will tell
I actually *had* to do that on an engine I was working on last week. The lower bolt for the IP had broken loose of its bracket and was just spinning - couldnt get in there to hold it without removing that bracket, was a nightmare for sure, but this wrench helped:

I usually use it for adjusting the IP.
I cannot remember which bolt, but I have a set of flex head gearwrench and it will almost go anywhere. The only hang ups are if the head of the bolt or nut is recessed or blocked in that way. IIRC I can get all the hard to get IP bolts with it...and it is the handiest 13mm wrench I own for other things.
