Does anyone here make their own exhaust? I plan on just making mine exit out the side unless I can figure out how to make an over the axle piece. Would anyone have any idea on how to make that piece?
I plan on making it 3inch stainless all the way back.

Mandrel bender
Yep, I just used some J bends from ebay; cut to fit. Though, I can personally recommend using something other than a hacksaw...

What kind of car, I think you will find 3 inch will be a little tight over the axle.

2.5" fits. It doesn't have to be mandrel bent tubing but that is better I guess and probably a good option if you don't have a tubing bender.

3 inch is good to like what over 300 horse flow wise. might be overkill and if your doing stainless that means ur capable of welding it correct? if you are look up a site called columbia river mandrel bends and buy the bends you need cut and weld them together. thats what i did for my downpipe.

Well I have a 3" downpipe. I figured I may as well go 3" all the way back.
I mean money grows on trees right?
And yes obviously stainless is more difficult to weld. I have the resources to have it done.
3" over the axle should fit fine. Lots of examples on the vortex. Some even with 4" turbo back vrt's.
Supposedly the over the axle part is a pretty complex 3d Part. I will probably just run it out the side because I am lazy but I think that will be way too loud.
Would it cause much back pressure to have the exhaust. Shrink down to say a 2.25 mandrel bend over the exhaust?

If it has been done before then you can run 3 inch the whole way then. It doesn't seem that bad or complex from what I remember Layin under my car doin some of my exhaust. And I loved the side exit on my Shelby charger it was loud but I had a small glass pack to quite it down along with the turbo quieting it down to. No cat

I have a 2.25 inch TT exhaust here that i can get the over the axle bends from I suppose. I guess the side exit wouldn't be terrible but it would get my car pretty dirty down the side. I don't really car if it is loud outside the car but I would like to be able to talk and not have to shout when driving down the highway.
Right now with just the 3 inch downpipe ending just at the fire wall it drones pretty loud and pretty much fills my car with exhaust and my air filter needs to be changed like every month.
I need to do something.

did not see car listed.. BUT j bends, chop saw, tig and V-BAND clamps... trust me on the v bands.. do it after down pipe before flex, then before rear axle so you can take it apart with ease with no leaks..
the v bands will also give you slight twist ability for perfect fit.. in those 2 places..
the issue with side exhaust... 3" of ground clearance... almost need to make it oval... say 1.5" pipe cut in half with say 2.5" sheet connecting them.. else its going to hit.. my 2.5" on the toaster has dents from rocks..

if you have a stock cast downpipe, you could put a 12" exhaust on your engine, and it would perform no better..
