Having dropped my engine into the engine bay I'm struggling to get it to run
It looks like your injector pump might be off a tooth or two.

I hope that no animals were hurt in this production!!!!!!!!!!!
HAHA. What ahppened!? Hope there were no limb injuries involved.
Also kudos to having stones big enough to post.

Hope there is no damage either!
Ingenious way to cool the oil! Hope nothing got broke, limb or Dub.
looks like some pretty crooked work...

x2!
Last engine swap I did was over dirt & a sheet of OSB, and I would've been terrified if that had happened to me--so, hope everything's alright!
having failed to get it in at the first attempt, I had lifted it back up too change the angle of attack and noticed the rope fraying - I had a proper strap on the bench but thought - 'it'll be alright'
I was actually pretty lucky, the engine was quite high, the bottom of the sump was level with the top of the engine bay, I had hold of the crank pulley at the time tryin to tilt the gearbox end down, the rope snapped, the motor swung down gearbox first and landed square on the end of the box without hitting anything on the way down
It dented the end case on the 02A gearbox and that was really all the damage
I had a perfectly good spare case on a scrap gearbox.
All in now and running fine. Much much better than that awful franken ever would. Only disappointing thing is a 1.9 is nothing like the fun of a 1.6 to drive.
thats a NICE OIL PAN!!
how thick of plate is welded to it?
Why is it we refuse to listen to those little voices in the back of our heads when it comes to things like this? Nylon rope? Seriously? I wouldn't trust it to hold the gate shut.

You need to get that thing running a little better if you think a 1.6 is more fun than a 1.9! I wouldn't go back to a 1.6......
