This did not go without incident, an exhaust hanger broke, had to drop 4 bucks on a new one and my brake pedal is gettin spongy. Thinkin about upgradin to stainless steel brake lines and doin a front brake upgrade.
Other than what the Bentley states, any other recommended maintenance at this juncture?
Two batteries, specially in Florida :-) j/k congrats man!
i think you should just FILL THE TRUNK with batteries..
you could get some hydraulic or air suspension to go with your big brakes and stainless lines.
maybe some "la cucaracha" horns too..
anyways, you can get 90-92 GTI/GLI 16v brakes, and they are bigger (14" wheel will be the smallest you can run) than the stock brakes.
fairly easy to find also. and a direct swap. use the knuckles, strut housings, ball joints, and whatever else is specific to the 10.1 brakes..
brake pedal going spongy on a mk2, i would look at the prop valve on the drivers side by the axle beam.
(was totally kidding about the million batteries and la cucaracha btw)
Tons of batteries in the back and two electric motors hooked the the rears, just in case yours decides to fail. Oh and those stick on solar panels to keep the juice up in the lead in the back.
I was just thinking of that. I was also thinking about adding a yellow, 3 tier, westwing spoiler. Yellow because its scientifically proven to give you more horsepower.
Than I was going to use those stick on led lights from Autozone to completely cover the stock headlights, 7 or 8 rows each should do. Or would that be to Audi-ish?
I was thinking just new rotors, but cross drilled, recondition the calipers, and the steel brake lines for better pedal feel.
Guess we should move this to Upgrade - non engine related.
Nah, He KNOWS the real Trouble is that his compression is gone and he is just making it work until he can afford the real fix. Rings and such. Oh that isn't this car at all. Can't keep my threads straight.
Ended up being the master cylinder. Swapped it and swapped in some new pads. All better. Still want the upgraded brake lines though.

I dunno...I think that was a jab at my mexican tail lights
