• I'm sure this question has been answered before, but I coulden't find it. Can you do the governor mod on a 1.9 aaz pump? thanks

  READ ALL OF THE INFO IN THAT LINK..
  
  do not open up your pump until you COMPLETELY understand what you are about to do.
  
  if you mess up your pump, you may NEVER get your car running correctly again.
  
  i repeat, FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS TO A TEE.. and be VERY CAREFUL, the little e-clips on the governor shaft love to play "flying hide and go seek, and let me tell you what, those little clips are darn good at hiding!
  
  and FWIW, i use stainless or brass nuts to shim my governors..

• Is it any more dangerous/involved than doing it to a 1.6 pump? because I have done that before with good success.

• its the same procedure, depending on what 1.6 pump you did it to, and what aaz pump you are using..
  
  the actual governors are the same, but getting down to them might be slightly different..
