I've been doing a lot of reading on the governor mod. However I am curious about how this will affect the eco pump since it doesn't have the lfa. This is what I have done to the car so far under the hood wise:
Fuel screw turned half a turn in, and a boost controller set at 20psi max (as indicated on this forum) that the k14 hits its peak efficiency. What I noticed with this is even with the ac on and the skinny pedal matted through the gears, egt never goes above 1050F.
What I am wondering is, I feel the new found oompf start to kick in, jjust as the governor starts to reduce the fueling. Is there any other way (aside from getting a td/giles pump) to tune this pump? Can I crank the screw in more just to get more fuel to the cylinders even after the gov is reducing it? Propotionately speaking? Or is it still gonna reduce the fujeling to the same amount?
there is nothing that is going to fix the crutch tho.. because this pump is limited my an 8mm plunger.. it may get a little better, but an eco pump is not known for being able to support much power..
So would it even be worth doing the gov mod on the eco pump?
it might be worth it, but theres going to be no replacement/aid for a bigger pump head.. the ECO pumps just arent set up to deliver large amounts of fuel..
