Hey guys,
So I have successfully disable my headlight DRL by disconnecting a yellow connector behind the fusebox. But my tail lights are still lit when I start my car with the lights off.
Is there anyway to disable daytime running tail lights? I hope so, any help appreciated.

Are they relayed somewhere?
I like drl's, I'm not sure why people enjoy disabling them so much.

I feel they're pointless, if its dark enough to need DRL to be seen.. your headlights should be on already.
Also they make it harder to sneak around and be mischievous

Well its just the running lights in the tails that come on with DRL's no?
All the wiring for the trunk, tails, rear window defrost, and third brake light runs down the driver side rocker. Go to the tails and see what leads have 12v when just the DRL's are on. Cut those wires, but make sure you leave enough on each end that they can be easily reconnected.

Agreed, however there are many idiots on the road that don't have the sense to turn on their lights in the rain/snow/fog.

To me and proabably me only, I think that rain, snow, fog, and other conditions just need the parking lights. That is if it is light out, when dark obviously then the headlamps are needed.
I pick out the amber color of the parking lights better in the day in rain snow and fog than I do the headlights. I think the headlights in a heavy rain are distracting to me. This is all opinion and really doesn't help the original poster. To him I would think that the bentley would have some knowledge on the tails to disable them.

8v of fury had an excellent idea.. I'm going to check that right now.. 12v only when running lights are on, pro man. Thanks. I'll update.

Look up the wiring diagram, find drl relay, disable/remove relay. I'm almost positive the system is relayed because mkIII's don't have drls in the states but I'm sure the wiring harness is all there to streamline construction.
