I'm about to turbo my 1.6 N/A, but lack an intake manifold. The diesel vanagon manifolds appeal to me but I wonder WTF is on the side there.
Thanks,
Jason
on the right is the "bov" its a pressure relief valve that opens at 12psi, and over spins your turbo in order to keep your engine from over boosting. pointless really, later cars such as eco diesels and the aaz did not have it, and everyone on here ditches them or disables them. its held on with a 2" v band i believe. and since i no what ur planning, i dunno what turbo you plan on using, but i would recommend using a gas intake manifold or something, the stock turbo manifolds suck. look how small the inlet is, it flows like crap, has hard turns, and favors the 2 center cylinders
Over boost preventor. Giles makes block off plates so you can have more than 12psi worth of fun.
