I need some help!!! 95 jetta 1.9l tdi Here are the symptoms
-tachometer inop (doesnt sweep,nothing)
-oil lamp flashing
-batt light on
-runs better with decompression pulled out
-raw fuel came out of tail pipe (this is not happening anymore thou)
all this happened 2 days ago when it was -25 out. It had sat for 4 hours not plugged in. It has been sittin in warm garage for 2 days all sypmtoms are the same except no raw fuel anymore

You're gonna have to get more details.
Did it run good before the big cold? i'm assuming [!] that you don't have a TDI but a TD ,AAZ code engine. When you mean decompression are you referring to the cold start/timing advance lever? it sounds like you have a big poor running issue and are not idling fast enough, missing on one or more cylinders, etc.

Yes a poor idle and rough running (one or more cylinders not firing) could cause the alternator to never excite, and insufficient oil pressure to build at the head sensor. Causing both lights to come on.
However being in the warm garage and starting the same way and the lights still on?? Did you tryand rev it up?v anything change?
