... and my GPs aren't heating up??? what's that all about?
got in the car first thing this morning, started fine, got in it half hour ago and it was just flashing when i turned the key on... ended up jumpering the GPs directly to the battery to get her to start...
Blown fusible link in the glowplug relay box. Buy two for 50p from German & Swedish, or GSF or Jack of All Trades as it now is. There should be a plastic hatch in the relay box in the engine bay mounted against the bulkhead. Two 5mm allen bolts to undo and replace, 5minute job. What might take longer is to find why it blew up in the first place.
Thanks, i was wondering if it was something like that!!
I just put a new oil pump in at the weekend as the old one had a jammed relief valve, must've been when i cranked it over for pressure!!

Actually, not due to that at all!! Like so many other things on this car, the battery lead was only finger tight in the clamp on the relay, so it had formed a hot junction and melted some of the plastic between the battery lead and the fuse!!

fixed it now tho!!
i was so gonna call the battery issue... they do it when the battery is over charged too i had a bad alternator running 17volts
