How's working the actuator on a KKK K14?
Mine doesn't work and I have 28PSI (not good for my engine) and I would like to fix it.
A hate a K24's actuator, is it the same?
If I'm removing the actuator, will I have to change few pieces?
Thanks
Xav.
The k14 wastegate has a smaller valve than the k24 and they are not interchangeable for that reason.
Boost pressure applied to the underside of the diaphram lifts the valve up towards the wastegate and opens the exhaust bypass to regulate boost
They get seized up pretty good and are usually almost impossible to free up if they have been seized for some time.It may be easier to just find another turbo, either a k24 or T3 would be a direct swap for the k14.
Or just back off on the fuel for now 28psi with k14
I have a T3 in back on the car.
I will clean it and I will install it on my AAZ.
I don't have smoke @ 28 PSI
I forgot somthing you'll have to moddify the turbos oil drain as the k14 on the 1.9 drains into the block, and the T3/k24 on the 1.6 drain to the pan.I'm sure you'll figure out somthing.
I know.
I will use power steering hose for now. I'll cut the K14's hose in bottom and the T3's hose in the top (near the metal pipe) and I will use about 8-10" of power steering hose between the two metal hoses.
On my 30-0-20 Autometer boost gauge, the indicator goes near from -30 (it continues after 20 PSI)
On my 1.6TD, I had 21PSI with the K24. Too big for a stock 1.6TD.
On the 1.9TD, I got about 22-23PSI with stock fueling. Fuel pump screwed up, I new get too much boost for the engine.
My intercooler piping failed @ 25 PSI (it's the safety valve  )
Maybe yout K14 had lots of wastegate leak.
There is not BOV on a 1.9TD.
I will send you a little video tomorrow.
I have 19 PSI @ 2000 rpm
