I have a 1.9 TDI (AHU) engine block sitting in my garage that needs to go.
I just recently tore down the engine after I dropped a valve and found the block to be in great condition. So much so, that you can still see the factory cross hatching on the cylinder walls!!! The block had 302K miles on it when it died, but there is no evidence of it!
The crank is currently still in the block as I have not been able to get it out yet.
The price for the block is $250 obo as is plus shipping.
I also have the following parts off the engine (which will be listed separately soon):
- Oil filter and mount assembly - $60 obo
- Main accessory mount - $40 obo
- Oil Pump and associated windage tray - $100 obo
...and some other stuff.
Please let me know if you're interested in any of this!!!

p.s. I will try to get pics of all these parts soon!!!

Do you have the head as well? What kind of shape is it in and how much do you want for it?

the head is very chewed up around piston #1...the rest of the head is fine. I'm not sure if you want to use it fir R&D work or something because that's probably all it's good for.

Yeah that is pretty mangled, I could use a core for R&D though. I am assuming I could take it off your hands for very cheap?

Are you willing to separate the crank and block? I'm interested in the crank.

I can separate them...provided I can get the crank out. I have had trouble getting the crank bolt loose on the sprocket (need a nice 1/2 drive socket and a generous application of PB Blaster).
I also have someone that has made an offer on it on the Vortex. He has dibs right now, but if he passes, I will let you know. I should know in the next day or so.

I have the block and associated parts...but the crank is gone.
Price is negotiable.
