Hi,
I've got a 1.6 GTD pump to fit onto my dads 1.9 engine, I'm missing the pump pulley and wudruff key, I also dont have any of the bolts that hold the pump on (the ones that are connected together?) so i'd like those too!
I'm in the UK but please let me know what you have got! or if anyone can pint me in the right direction!
Thanks
Ryan

so sprockets from some 1.6 engines won't fit other 1.6 engines? which ones?

I don't know what could be different about them, vagcat has the same part numbers for 81, 85 and 92 1.6 diesels. I bet they are different depending on the fasteners used to hold the pump to the bracket. The late 1.6 engines had 2 hex nuts and a bolt holding the pump to the bracket where the earlier ones had two bolts and one hex nut, doesn't that make the holes in the pulley different so a socket will fit on the hex nuts when the pump is at TDC? kabeesh?

It`s the offset of the pulleys. I think (but don`t know) that each generation (mk1 2 3) has a different offset. I know when I was putting together my mom`s 84 Jetta I scared myself pretty good when I put on a pulley and it was hitting the pump mount. I found another pulley in the pile and it fit perfectly.

I bet that was an AAZ pulley you put on by mistake...

Yeah that's very possible considering it was an AAZ engine with a 1.6 pump on it...
