Since my MK3 is a summer car, I need a winter beate. Since I like Pathys and they've always worked well for me I was thinking of getting one for next winter. Since they all come with the big 3.0L V6...The Upside 150HP and 180ftlbs of Torque...mileage...High teens low 20s lol.
I though adding a AAZ into it would make it pretty good on MPG but I would need to modify the motor a Bit to get the same amount of torque at least...
What I want to know. If there any kits out there like there is for the Samurai?

why do people always try and wheel the deepest mud with the crappiest street tires?

Michelen LTX All Terrains, They were great tires if i wasn;t going to play in deep mud...I got stuck because I sucked water into the intake and flooded the motor out...and I went thru that hole many times before.
The Next Pathfinder is getting a set of Pro Comp Mud and Snow Tires

Get a
Fronterror Frontera instead

oh wait... no, no don't get one. They break a lot and easily
My plan was to use the Frontera as a mudding toy for the cold wet windy British
winters summers.
What drive train will you use to keep it 4wd? Syncro/Rallye?

there is a company out there that makes the samurai conversion , that also makes a adapter plate for any toyota transmision that uses a 22r engine .
assuming your front diff sits on the same side as a toyota , it would just be a matter of swapping the tranny transfer case , then fabbing up some drive shafts .

no, honestly i wasnt talking about you. just my general experiences. any idiots that get stuck with street tires and their own stupidity, when i pull those ones out, i use just 2 wheel drive. "here, since your rig cant get muddy on its own, heres some mud for your paint job."
oh yea, pro comp mudders and maxxis big horns work pretty damn good. so do wildcat EXT's, but you cant get them no more.
