Couldnt be arsed with polishing your shiny engine bay again after getting it caked in mud no doubt. I think these festivals are much better when you camp as you have time to relax, have a beer and talk to people. I went to JAE last year with my mate and his civic/del sol forum buddies and it was great, despite not being so jap crazy as he is. Not a bad festival JAE, bigger than the VW one.

hello chaps,
its all good in the hood, the bus is running nice, i keep playing n tuning trying to find a happy balance and generally getting a good feel for the engine on different settings, from high boost with lots of fuel, to normal setting and so on. i'm still fitting the int'cooler, lol taken ages i know, but i'm totally sure where its going now and how etc etc.
one thing tho! when i put the new motor in, i also fitted another box, but that's coming out again. 5th gear is to short, my petrol box was much better.
Bert- what happened at bugjam, it was wet but the Sunday cleared up and some good racing was seen. 2 of my mates won some trophy's, one best Cabby Beetle and other won best custom beetle. which was a cool.
Aiden/Bert well actually ALL UK'rs we really have to hook up, whats next on the calender? i'm doing vanfest got tickets n all, never been b4, may not be your thing but all types of vw's turn up as i have seen from lots of prev photo's. Any takers?
when is ed 38?

Stu there is no easy way of saying this, but I now own a Volvo! In a moment of insanity I thought it was a good idea, petrol aswell! Still have the mk3 but not for long, going from 50mpg to 16mpg (not a misprint) will be hard to adjust to!
Bert - I'm working in Halesowen at the moment, do you know Coombs Rd, round the corner from the Honda dealer?

Vanfest is good for me as at least i will be at the same venue, but I will be trading all weekend..

Feel free to bob past and say hello, I will be sharing with CJ of syncrospares.co.uk just on the bottom side of the creche, you can't miss us, we usually have a PA running and we have a triple plot, with lots of t3 syncro's.
I will be taking my T3 Atlantic and my T4 2.5 TDI.

Nice, was watching that.
Not been on in a while, but i'm still finding myself wanting a mk2 again, or a corrado, m-tdi powered. I've kept the H&R suspension, 02A gearbox, VR6 clutch, AHU block from the mk3. With that rare merc/VW 12mm pump, vnt20/t3, and tintin's excellent .216s on it I think it would be an interesting drive.
If anyone knows of an AHU head, or compatible, for sale let me know

It definitely was a bargain, but its not really the best time for me to buy.
I went from GTD to a mk3 tdi, and to be honest I think the tdi was better. I guess its solely down to the more modern turbo on the TDI, but I wouldn't be happy unless it was a mk2 with a tdi engine in it, along with the cable shift box
