• I'm poised to buy some tools for a timing belt change.
  Think I might go with the Metalnerd tools.
  Will the cam lock plate and tensioner adjuster that I already have (IDI) work on a TDI?
  Will I really need VAG-COM to do the job properly?

• for the 19 tdi i use a 13mm spaner for the camshaft lock and a 10 mm deep socket for the fuel pump and thats it.
