How can you not impulse buy it when they only wanted $100 for it?

I blame the old lady that was selling the car! She sold it right out from under you! What a BIIIAAAATTTTTCCCHHHH! (Say it like a rap star!)

With no paperwork I'd have been hesitant to buy it.

Girlfriend I could somewhat understand, but wife you have problems. I don't mean to offend anyone out there, but before I got married I told the soon to be wife that all final decisions would be made by me...and if not then we don't need to get married. She agreed and now is sometimes upset, but I tell her that I am the one that will be held accountable for this family and she calms down.
I say that to say this, if you don't want something like I have you may want to next time put some money down as a holder maybe only 10.00. Then when you GF has objections you take her back to the dealer "to get your money back." Then when she sees the diesel awesomeness she won't be able to say no.

To each his own. It is like religion and politics. Everyone has an opinion and very rarely are they the same. People should hold true to what they believe, but keep those touchy conversations private to avoid non forum related debates. Even best friends argue about certain issues.
IMHO.

X2
But speaking of diesel awesomeness... I went to whistler yesterday and on the sea to sky near squamish i saw a fully loaded jetta (4 people) just flooring it through a right turn at a set of lights onto the highway. I had to point it out to my brothers in appreciation as the blackness consumed the intersection.
