After doing some drag racing the other night, my car sounds like its supercharged. i have locked at all the hoses and checkt the turbo for damage on the air filter side, but i cant find the problem. it sounds like its the turbo that makes the sound but there dont seem to be any more wear than normal on it.
any thought`s ?

Since I can't hear the sound I'm just guessing here but it could be an exhaust leak pre-turbo

Sorry about that.
by pre-turbo I meant between the cylinder head and the turbo, most likely an exhaust manifold leak

Bingo?
Heh heh. "Spirited driving".
A supercharger sound arose from me running my car with just a 2.5 inch downpipe.
Perhaps you have a huge exhaust leak POST turbo?

Going to have a lock at tha manifold and exhaust asap, if i cant eliminate the sound still, i just have to make a film for youtube, so everyone can hear the stupid whining

Also check all things that are belt driven. IE. Water pump, alternator, PS pump. Just take the belt off and run it and see if the noise is gone. Also might want to have a look at the timing belt... the tensioner might be going too.

I haven had time to lock at any of the proposed solutions so fare, but i made a short video so that you can hear the sound. It dosnt sound as clearly as i`d hoped on the video, but here it is....

Wow, I just watched your video. That is quite the noise!
It almost sounds like you have a boost leak, but your boost gauge goes up so it couldn't be that. Does it have the normal amount of power? It does sound like an exhaust leak, but that would also affect boost. Could be something belt driven, I'd check that first. Hope you can fix it

exhaust leak, probably a manifold gasket blew out.
check the manifold gaskets at the head.

i cant feel any change in the power after the sound started. i had it up to 180km/t. 114mp/h yesterday and it coudent have done that if the power had gone down.
well locks like i have to dismount the manifold

im not locking forward to it

It sure does sound like somethings up with the turbo. Maybe chipped a blade or sucked something in throwing it off balance??

My K24 sounded like that. It still made boost but when I removed it to check it out, the turbine housing was cracked in many places. I wasn't sure on welding them up so I replaced it.
